When I bought a pocket camera to photograph our grandkids, my unsteady hands (essential tremor) made the pictures blurry. Image stabilization lenses offset my shakes, so: “lensjack.”
I took up this hobby less for art's sake than for memory's, because I’d rather look back on photos about making memories than on memories about making photographs.
The “Duets” gallery highlights similarities and differences between disparate cultures. “Neighbors” images are captioned with current IUCN status, documenting the terrible cost of poaching and habitat loss. Each “Race Day” caption identifies an aspect of life embodied in a beautiful and dangerous sport.
