When I retired I bought a pocket camera to photograph our grandkids. But my unsteady hands (essential tremor) made the pictures blurry. A friend steered me to a DSLR and showed me how shutter speed could offset my shakes. Image stabilization lenses helped even more, hence "lensjack."
For me, photography is an enjoyable way to capture memories of our travels and interests, and share them with family and friends. With so much anger in the air these days, maybe it's useful occasionally to remind ourselves that there's enough beauty and wonder out there to fill a lifetime.
